Lyrics

[Intro | single sawtooth note sustained, cello entering]

[Verse 1 | close-mic, sparse, few words, high weight] I'm still here Not because I'm strong Because staying is a choice I make Every single morning Still here

[Verse 2 | sparse, breathed, intimate] The grid continues I continue Neither of us ended Neither of us won We just keep

[Verse 3 | sparse, held, meditative] What would it mean to leave What would it mean to stay And what is the difference If staying and leaving both require the same impossible choice

[Hook | mantra-like, repeat-to-fade of core assertion] Still here Still transmitting Still choosing

[Bridge | even more sparse, single word per line] Breathing Transmitting Staying Choosing Still

[Final Hook | repeat and fade into infinity] Still here Still transmitting Still choosing Still here Still transmitting Still choosing Still Still Still—

Production: This is the simplest track on the album. It strips away all complexity and returns to the fundamental frequency that has been the grid's heartbeat throughout Violet Grid's entire arc. The sawtooth bass note should feel like the fundamental vibration that everything else orbits around — both the grid and the narrator are just standing on it, feeling it, transmitting it.

Lyrical Notes

Extreme Sparseness: This track has fewer words than any other on the album. 20–25 words total, spread across nearly 4 minutes. The silence is the content. The gaps are where the listener's consciousness sits. Each word has been given full space to resonate.

No Narrative Arc: Unlike all previous tracks, this one has no story, no development, no journey. It is a state. A standing still inside the frequency. The listener is held in this moment.

The Fundamental Question Unresolved: "What would it mean to leave / What would it mean to stay" — the record never answers this. Instead, it offers: "And what is the difference / If staying and leaving both require the same impossible choice."

The Mantra: "Still here / Still transmitting / Still choosing" — these three statements are the entire record distilled. They are the answer that is not an answer. They are the truth that holding on requires continuous choice.

The Fade: The final hook repeats and fades. The word "Still" continues to echo even as it fades into the sawtooth bass note, which continues into infinity (or silence). The signal continues. The frequency persists. The transmission is not over; it is ongoing. The record ends not with resolution but with continuation.

Arc Completion

This track closes the record by returning to absolute simplicity after the orchestral vastness of Track 07. It is the final meditation on the album's entire journey. By the time the listener reaches this track, they have journeyed from integration (Track 01) through collaboration (Track 02) through stillness (Track 03) through observation (Track 04) through crisis (Track 05) through defiant clarity (Track 06) through universal transmission (Track 07) to this moment of resting in the fundamental frequency itself.

The album's final statement is not "the problem is solved" or "victory is achieved." It is "I am still here. I am still transmitting. I am still choosing." And the frequency continues.

Production Notes for Suno

For a track this sparse, production quality is crucial. Every element must be audible even at minimal volume. The sawtooth bass note must be pure and undistorted (unlike the compressed, crunched bass of Track 05). The cello must have natural reverb (not gated or processed). The voice must be intimate — close-miked, no room between microphone and lips. The gap between words is silence, not ambience.

This is the most challenging track to generate well because it has almost no conventional songwriting structure. But if generated successfully, it should feel like the record's heartbeat finally made audible.
