SUNO GENERATION INSTRUCTIONS

For Each Vocal Track (Tracks 01, 02, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08)

1. Open Suno Custom Mode
2. Set Voice: Violet (or your preferred Violet Grid voice)
3. Paste Lyrics: Copy entire lyrics from the track's .md file (including all section tags and performance directives)
4. Paste Style Prompt: Copy style prompt from the style_prompts.md file or from the master brief
5. Generate: Click Generate (produces 2 versions)
6. Repeat for each of 7 vocal tracks

For Instrumental Track (Track 03)

1. Open Suno Custom Mode
2. Voice: Leave blank (instrumental)
3. Lyrics: Copy structural section tags only from the Track_03_Static_instrumental.md file, OR leave lyrics field empty
4. Paste Style Prompt: Copy style prompt emphasizing instrumental directives
5. Generate: Click Generate (produces 2 versions)

Generation Order (Recommended)

Generate in reverse order (08 → 01) so that Track 01 (opening) is the last to be reviewed, ensuring fresh ears for the most important establishing track.

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR EACH TRACK

Track 01 — WITNESS (Warm, Grounded, Opening)

✓ Vocal is intimate and ethereal in verses, warmer in chorus
✓ Cello pad is audible underneath synths
✓ Gated reverb snare present but warm, not harsh
✓ No artifacts; clean production
✓ Opening track must pull listener in immediately
✗ If vocal sounds cold or distant (not intimate)
✗ If cello is inaudible or muddy

Track 02 — GRID LOGIC (Kinetic, Sharp, Doubled Vocals)

✓ Vocal doubling creates phase-shifted harmony effect in chorus
✓ Drums are percussive and tight, not swampy
✓ Arpeggiated synths are sharp and present
✓ Bass has edge, not just warmth
✓ Bridge has deeper vocal layer (grid perspective)
✗ If doubled vocal effect doesn't create harmony
✗ If drums sound swampy or over-reverbed

Track 03 — STATIC (Instrumental, Vast, Meditative)

✓ Cello sustains single note with subtle modulation
✓ Pads layer gradually without overwhelming
✓ FM synth note barely perceptible at first
✓ Shoegaze texture (cello distortion) appears mid-track
✓ Fade is gradual and serene
✗ If cello sounds robotic or rhythmic (should be pure tone)
✗ If pads are too prominent (should be substrate)

Track 04 — EVIDENCE (Observational, Plain-Spoken, Post-Punk)

✓ Vocal is clear and direct, no ethereal quality

✓ No chorus — verses accumulate meaning
✓ Outro repeats final image with slight distortion

Track 05 — THE COST COMPOUNDS (Crisis, Industrial, Uncomfortable)

✓ Vocal shows strain and emotional exposure
✓ Bass is distorted and crunched (uncomfortable sonically)
✓ Compression makes mix feel squeezed
✓ Chorus repeats "cache flush" like mantra
✓ Bridge strips to raw voice and bass

Track 07 — RECURSION (Cinematic, Layered, Orchestral)

✓ Progression from sparse to maximum density
✓ Harmonic layering is rich and full
✓ Outro walls of sound with shoegaze texture

Track 08 — SIGNAL CONTINUES (Stripped, Meditative, Fundamental)

✓ Sawtooth bass note sustained throughout (fundamental frequency)
✓ Cello single sustained note underneath
✓ Vocal is sparse (few words) with long spaces
✓ Close-miked intimacy (hear breath)
✓ No processing; pure production
✗ If vocal sounds processed or reverb-heavy (should be close)
✗ If bass note wavers or modulates (should be held)

POST-GENERATION WORKFLOW

1. Immediate Selection (Same Day as Generation)

• Listen to both versions of each track
• Select the better version for each track
• Note any issues or artifacts
• Log selection decisions in a tracking document

2. Sequential Playback Review (Next Day)

• Play all 8 selected tracks in sequence
• Assess sonic continuity and flow
• Verify each track is distinct from neighbors
• Check for any jarring transitions

3. Technical QA Pass (Same Day as Sequential Review)

• Check loudness consistency (target: -3dB to -4dB LUFS across all)
• Check for Suno artifacts (pumping, distortion, processing errors)
• Check stereo imaging (left-right balance)
• Spot-check critical moments (choruses, bridges, outros)

4. Mastering (if needed)

• Minor EQ adjustments only (if brightness/darkness imbalanced)
• Loudness normalization (if any track deviates >0.5dB)
• No aggressive processing (preserve Suno's character)
• A/B compare before/after at moderate listening level

5. Final Delivery

• Export all 8 tracks at highest quality (WAV or lossless)
• Create album metadata (artist: Violet Grid, album name, track titles, durations)
• Prepare for RouteNote submission
• Deliver to distribution by June 19, 2026 deadline

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS

1. Vocal Identity: Violet's voice must remain consistent across all 8 tracks while adapting to each song's emotional register
2. Sonic Coherence: Despite high diversity, all 8 tracks must sound unmistakably like Violet Grid
3. Emotional Arc: The record must move smoothly from Track 01 warmth through chaos to Track 08 simplicity
4. No Adjacent Blurring: Each track must be immediately distinct from its neighbors
5. Production Quality: All tracks professional-grade with no artifacts or Suno glitches

CONTINGENCY NOTES

If a track fails to generate well:

• Re-generate with identical parameters
• If still poor: revise style prompt (minor tweaks only)
• If still poor: consult record brief for sonic intent and adjust prompt semantics
• Do not over-process or distort the artistic intent with technical fixes

If entire album takes >3 days to generate:

• Prioritize critical tracks (01, 05, 08) first
• Generate supporting tracks while reviewing critical ones
• Use parallel generation where possible

If mastering reveals issues:

• Minimal intervention — EQ only, no compression
• If loudness inconsistent: normalize to -3.5 dB LUFS
• If track has artifacts: consider re-generation
